I'm Back!

Ok, let's check my last post. When was it? Hmmm.. *checking.....* 31st August?!?! *shocked face*

Wow, it's been more than 2 months since I updated my blog! Didn't realise how fast time flies. Sorry guys for the slow updates. Been busy lately.. Maafkan beta ya?

Let's see.. Where should I begin? I'll start with my new life in Sabah @ UMS. I arrived in Sabah on 2nd of September. My registration was supposed to be on the 7th but my family planned to wander around Sabah so we came here early. The most memorable experience before I put myself into the "pen" was the trip to Poring. I still can't believe that me, Melody who's acrophobic, went for canopy walk. (Nasib baik masih hidup. Phewww...) Also for the first time ever, I saw Mount Kinabalu up close and personal. I didn't climb the highest mountain in South East Asia but I was close enough to see its beauty and for you guys out there who don't know that there's a waterfall on Mount Kinabalu, now you know. =) That night after the trip, I brought back many unforgetable experiences with me including sore throat, flu, fever and cough. Yes, a full package. It started with a minor sore throat but it soon turned into a complete package of sickness that lasted for 3 weeks. Talking about a weak body. Pfttttt..

Fast forward to Orientation week in UMS. The orientation week that lasted for 5 days was seriously a living nightmare. The never-ending activities + sickness + blurness + exhaustion = a-not-so-fun beginning. I was a hot mess for the first couple of weeks here. Everything was new and I felt completely lost. Luckily I have a few Form 6 friends to start my journey with. Getting around UMS was also a big struggle. This uni is so freaking huge that I seriously had no idea which stop to get down and where each stop leads to. Knowing Miss Blur Melody, you'd guess how many times I asked my friends and the nearest people I could get my hands on, the directions to my destinations over and over again. During the orientation, we were separated according to our specific courses and I was surprised to see how little the number of students in Network was. Guys- 4!!!! Total students- approximately 23. What the tut?? After the 2nd intake now it's 33 and still what the tut??!! It's been more than 2 months since I set my foot on this uni and life has been great so far. Although life as a uni student is not as easy and free as I thought, I'm happy with where I am now. I won't trade it for the world. =) Studies is tough and programming is killing me but I'm hanging on tight. This C @ ET language has left me with no soul. Lol.. Friends? Well, I made quite a number of friends here and I really enjoy their company. They're great and life's great and I have more reasons to smile each day. Fingers crossed that these friendships and my new found life will keep blossoming into something beautiful. As much as I enjoy my life now with my old and new friends, I'm still going to watch my steps, don't worry. I'm not going to let history repeats itself because once bitten, twice shy right? You can't really trust anybody and don't open yourself too much to people. Not everyone is good. There are many fake and evil people surrounding us who will not hesitate to use and hurt you. So to my lovely friends and readers, just take care and stay happy! Until then, cheers!

XOXO,
ML
