Coming Soon

I've been thinking about renewing my blog or should I say starting a fresh new blog and deleting the older posts. I think it's high time for me to start anew, open a new book with brand new chapters. I've been reading several of my older posts and am not liking what I wrote and used to like. Just realised that I was such an angry person and this blog has been a place for me to vent my anger and frustration so almost every post had been bitter. Oh, how I hate my old self! I guess when you reach 21 you'll find how silly you were in your teenage years. However, considering how crazy my life will be after today with studies and stuff I'll just have to put that plan on hold. I'll renew this crazy blog when I have the time with the story of my life as a uni student from now onwards. Bonne nuit peeps! And that's good night in French! Oh ya, I've forgotten to tell you guys that I'm currently taking French classes and will be taking this sexy language for 3 semesters here. Au revoir and bonne nuit!!

Agi Idup Agi Ngelaban!

Tomorrow will be a brand new week so this means that tomorrow will be the start of the second week for my lectures and the beginning to the real nightmare. I survived my first semester and hope to survive for the next 7. So fingers crossed that this sem will go as smoothly as posibble for me both mentally and physically. I'm still not fully ready to go through the same thing all over again (I get bored easily so you can guess that routines are definitely not for me) so a little bit of encouragement and pep talk to myself is essential to push through.

This week has been quite confusing emotionally. I don't know what to feel, how to feel.
My feelings are a big ball of mixed confusion right now for all the wrong reasons. Time to clear my head and put my mind on the right track again. I've decided that I'm not planning for a change this year because the time has yet to come but just not now. No changes, no anything. Things will happen naturally. Tomorrow will be a brand new day with a clear mind. Time to put my head in the game again. Agi idup agi ngelaban!

Dear Vince a.k.a Twin

Moning peeps! It's not a habit of mine to wake up this early and blog (ok, it's not even my habit to wake up this early) but now it's the perfect time to write something since I can't go back to sleep. I just received a letter from my beloved twin, Vince a.k.a Yau Xiang from the mailbox. Gosh! What time did you come to my house, twin?? Midnight??? I suppose that time written on the letter was the time you put it into my mailbox? Anyway, I'm super touched to receive it and it definitely makes a great start for my day. Thank you very much, my dearest twin! =) So.... you can definetely guess that today's post is written especially for you so remember this! Print it out if you want and paste it in your room. (Lol..Joking!)

We got to know each other back in Lower 6 and you remember how this "twin" thing started right? (coz we're so damn freakin' small! Admit it, bro!) Honestly even though we're not really close and we don't actually know each other super well but I'm proud to call you my twin because you're a dang great guy and friend. When I read your letter I thought you would start off or even write the whole thing with sweet things and stuff but knowing you, it's definitely not a surprise that you opted to shoot me first before giving me a candy. LOL.. Well, here's a thing. My butt is big enough so I don't want it to grow any bigger and for my boobs, I'll go for a boob job when I have the money and time. Ok? =P You're a great guy, Vince and you have a good heart. Don't ever let anyone change that. You!! Go get a gf too for heaven's sake! I'm not the only one who's forever alone in the group. You're not getting any younger neither and when you do so please make sure she's not just a typical, random girl who acts like a bitch and treats her man like a toy. If she were to be like that just toss her out of the window. You deserve way better! Another one word of advice about finding your soulmate is that please watch out for fake girls with fake personalities and stuff. There's plenty out there so if you meet one, one word for you- RUN!!! (and for your advice, I'll remember them don't worry) Drink more milk or any form of calcium when you're there. You're not that big too. I expect you to grow taller when I see you next time. Remember to wear those things we gave you when you go out (if it's cold outside. I don't want you to sweat like pigs and chase all the girls away) It may be a little overwhelming at first with the new life, studies, surroundings, homesick and stuff but I know you'll be just fine coz you're a tough guy. If you face any problem there or things don't turn out the way you want them to be, take it easy on yourself because we all know that shit happens. Get help, talk to someone (you have your besties back in M'sia and that includes me), cry but don't take the easy way out (alcohol, drugs, suicide, etc.) coz life ain't easy and it is not the best solution to solve crappy stuff. Be strong and fight all you can. Never give up coz there is nothing so shitty in life that you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm not that worried about you being all by yourself in Aussie. Look at how you survive and how strong you're standing now after all the things you've gone through. You're a kick-ass and I know you're never a quitter! Take good care of yourself there. It's not Malacca anymore where you can act like a boss with all your crazy and retarded friends. Hehe.. Make good friends and companies. (you need them in that new land) Charm them with your great personality! Don't lose yourself coz that amazing person you are now is the person we all came to know and love. We'll definitely keep in touch in Facebook and Tumblr. Don't worry, I won't forget or let you go that easily. Gonna stalk you and disturb you anytime I can. Muahahahahaha...  Let me know when you're back in Malacca. I wanna see that handsome face again. I wish you nothing but the best in everything you do. Love you always, twin!!

Lots of hugs and love,
Melody, your twin.

I'm Back!

Ok, let's check my last post. When was it? Hmmm.. *checking.....* 31st August?!?! *shocked face*

Wow, it's been more than 2 months since I updated my blog! Didn't realise how fast time flies. Sorry guys for the slow updates. Been busy lately.. Maafkan beta ya?

Let's see.. Where should I begin? I'll start with my new life in Sabah @ UMS. I arrived in Sabah on 2nd of September. My registration was supposed to be on the 7th but my family planned to wander around Sabah so we came here early. The most memorable experience before I put myself into the "pen" was the trip to Poring. I still can't believe that me, Melody who's acrophobic, went for canopy walk. (Nasib baik masih hidup. Phewww...) Also for the first time ever, I saw Mount Kinabalu up close and personal. I didn't climb the highest mountain in South East Asia but I was close enough to see its beauty and for you guys out there who don't know that there's a waterfall on Mount Kinabalu, now you know. =) That night after the trip, I brought back many unforgetable experiences with me including sore throat, flu, fever and cough. Yes, a full package. It started with a minor sore throat but it soon turned into a complete package of sickness that lasted for 3 weeks. Talking about a weak body. Pfttttt..

Fast forward to Orientation week in UMS. The orientation week that lasted for 5 days was seriously a living nightmare. The never-ending activities + sickness + blurness + exhaustion = a-not-so-fun beginning. I was a hot mess for the first couple of weeks here. Everything was new and I felt completely lost. Luckily I have a few Form 6 friends to start my journey with. Getting around UMS was also a big struggle. This uni is so freaking huge that I seriously had no idea which stop to get down and where each stop leads to. Knowing Miss Blur Melody, you'd guess how many times I asked my friends and the nearest people I could get my hands on, the directions to my destinations over and over again. During the orientation, we were separated according to our specific courses and I was surprised to see how little the number of students in Network was. Guys- 4!!!! Total students- approximately 23. What the tut?? After the 2nd intake now it's 33 and still what the tut??!! It's been more than 2 months since I set my foot on this uni and life has been great so far. Although life as a uni student is not as easy and free as I thought, I'm happy with where I am now. I won't trade it for the world. =) Studies is tough and programming is killing me but I'm hanging on tight. This C @ ET language has left me with no soul. Lol.. Friends? Well, I made quite a number of friends here and I really enjoy their company. They're great and life's great and I have more reasons to smile each day. Fingers crossed that these friendships and my new found life will keep blossoming into something beautiful. As much as I enjoy my life now with my old and new friends, I'm still going to watch my steps, don't worry. I'm not going to let history repeats itself because once bitten, twice shy right? You can't really trust anybody and don't open yourself too much to people. Not everyone is good. There are many fake and evil people surrounding us who will not hesitate to use and hurt you. So to my lovely friends and readers, just take care and stay happy! Until then, cheers!

XOXO,
ML
